CTF Volunteers Respond to Family in Need

On March 06, 2020, a family reached out to CTF describing a financial challenge. The father, J.C. we’ll call him, said his newborn needed diapers & wipes. When a CTF volunteer asked for more information, we found the family was also in need of some food and other personal hygiene supplies. That’s when our Community Outreach Worker got busy pulling in some resources for this new family.

Our volunteer contacted the London Ontario Giving Tree group on Facebook and shared an anonymous post asking for help with diapers & wipes. Someone was so kind and generously donated some toiletries, a whole bunch of grocery items and $100 towards diapers, wipes & other grocery items.

Our volunteer arranged pick up with the donor and gathered the supplies and then delivered them to the CTF family in need.

We received a thank you message from the family later that evening, expressing their gratitude and what a difference CTF had made for them that day.

We are very happy to help in anyway we can and are so glad we could be there for this new family. CTF is sending an extra special THANK YOU to its volunteer who helped make this happen today. Without our volunteers, and their generous gift of their time, CTF could not do what it does to help families and build community!
